This June, we traded the usual holiday hustle for something a little more wild, a little more remote—and a whole lot more exciting. Destination? Fiji! Tucked far south of Singapore, this island paradise welcomed us with sunshine, turquoise seas, and a promise of adventure.
Getting there wasn’t the hardest part—convincing the boys was. They were firmly set on Japan and had their hearts on Disneyland. But I had a feeling Fiji had something special to offer, and after some strategic persuasion (and maybe a few adventure videos), I got them on board.
And wow, was it worth it.
They absolutely loved it. By the end of the trip, not only were they raving about everything we did, but my older one gave me a mission: “Mum, please upload our video montage to YouTube so my classmates can see how cool our trip was.” Challenge accepted. After a solid week of editing, the 13-minute highlight reel was ready—and the boys were blown away.
Fiji truly is a gem. It’s more than just beautiful beaches and luxurious resorts. It’s a land full of culture, history, and stunning natural landscapes—from cascading waterfalls to mystical caves. We made sure to go beyond the resort and dive into real experiences: snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, river tubing through lush greenery, and even going on a thrilling cave safari.
If you’re looking for a family trip that combines fun, culture, and a healthy dose of adventure, Fiji should absolutely be on your radar. Our memories there are priceless—and the boys? They’re already asking when we’re going back.
