At the Shoushan zoo entrance

Recently, we brought our baby, now an active toddler, to Taiwan in early September. Home made black bean soup

I have been wanting to cook some healthy Chinese soup lately and looking at various online recipes for ideas. Happy sliding down

It has been a while since I last update an entry here. For the past 2 months, I have taken a short break from blogging and been trying to finish up work which I procrastinated for a while – that includes backing up photos and sorting out all the videos I have taken over the years. Time really flies. Just last year, I have been busy organising a one year old birthday party for my boy. Sitting (L-R): Heidi, Shirley, Donna. Standing (L-R): Weijia, Elssa

When I first talked about producing a short animation show for The Three Muttsketeers to a friend, she thought I was joking. I thought I should do something to create publicity for my book, and Youtube is one good platform to create awareness as young kids are attracted to moving visuals more than anything else. “Who still read books … [Read more…]

We attended his graduation ceremony, watch him collect his scroll on stage and perform with the rest of his classmates. 铭哲长大了!
We had a short getaway at Koh Samui during the school holidays. In this video, we did go-karting, went on dolphin cruise, sea snorkeling, fed the elephants and had roof riding for the first time.
We ventured to the Bhutan - Land of Happiness - to seek answers to a good life. In this video, we visited notable monasteries in Bhutan, sampled local cuisine, did fruit picking, took part in white water rafting at the rapids, trekked to Tiger's Nest Monastery and enjoyed a hot stone bath.
I will give you a tour of my backyard and the edibles I grow in my garden.

This includes a papaya tree planted in a pot, watermelon plant with baby fruits, my crop of cabbage, my lime plant, chilli padi plants, cherry tomato plants, popular herbs such as rosemary, sweet basil and mint.

Not to forget my hardy sweet potato leaves which I harvest weekly to cook sambal chilli with.

Maintaining an edible garden can be both hard work and fun.
